My partner’s family has a place on the coast of South Carolina in a small golf community. It’s a wonderful place and when we go we usually spend our days on the beach soaking in the sun, drink in hand. However, the most recent time we were there, one of the young nieces mentioned Alligator Alley. Being unfamiliar with the place, I was immediately curious. I was told of a strip of road, only accessible by golf cart, in between a pond and a marsh, and that if you went there, you were bound to spot an alligator. Learning all this, my partner and I thought it would be a wonderful area to explore on our drive home one evening. Luckily I had my camera and flash with me. And the tale was true, nothing could’ve prepared me for the amount of gators we saw that evening.
